During this time they released another single, "Automatic," appearing on Channel 4's Big Brother's Big Mouth in 2009 and performing at T in the Park, Creamfields, Wakestock, Belladrum and Sónar and more recently Reading, Leeds and SXSW, as well as main support on tours with Esser and Simian Mobile Disco and support slots with Scottish Electro Pop Sensations Chvrches. By the end of 2011 Young Fathers had left Black Sugar Records. They released a mixtape, Tape One, as a free download and limited edition cassette in November 2011 London's Time Out put the group in their top ten "best new acts to watch out for in 2012." Young Fathers have continued with sporadic concerts through 2012, gaining support from DJs and gig reviewers. In September 2012, Young Fathers signed to the LA label Anticon. They’ve played the likes of T in the Park, Wickerman and Doune the Rabbit Hole; they’ve been spun and praised by BBC Radio 6 DJ Marc Riley and Scotland’s Jim Gellatly; they've collaborated or worked with members of The Vaselines, BMX Bandits and Belle and Sebastian; had their songs synced into major feature films; and been tipped in myriad places as the ones to watch. Because, well, they are. www.teencanteen.co.uk
