The After Curfew anthology was published by Bill Drummond's own Penkiln Burn Press in 2019. It features 12 leading writers who took part in The Curfew Tower / Neu! Reekie! Residencies in Cushendall (Northern Ireland) in 2018. The book includes work by all the writers and a preface and post-script preface by Bill Drummond. Originally due to be launched with a mega event at Glasgow’s Aye Write Book Festival in 2020, it was one of the first events to fall foul to ‘The Big Still’—only to find its way out of the mists of the pandemic to land on the shores of Orkney in 2022. A book launch of gusto and glimmer, rescued from the ashes, restored in Stromness—perhaps where it was always meant to be?
